About Luchon Bike Centre
For over 15 years Ian & Kate Potter organised mountain bike and road cycling holidays through their British Company A Quick Release Holidays. This lead them to Luchon, also known as the 'Queen of the Pyrenees'. During this time Kate was a professional mountain bike racer, representing Australia at the 2009 and 2010 Mountain Bike World Championships, as well as achieving success in ultra endurance stage racing and 24 hr solo championships.
Ian worked as a World Cup bike mechanic for the Australian Mountain Bike Race Team racing across Europe, Canada and America. Ian also worked as mechanic for the Australian Mountain Bike Team at three World Championships. Ian now works as mechanic for the Tribe Pyrenees Gravity Team who compete at the Enduro Race Series.
The Luchon Bike Centre includes a fully equipped bike workshop, bike rental space and yoga/pilates studio with classes dedicated to helping cyclists recover between rides. Luchon Bike Centre also has a meeting room ideal for groups who wish to organise coaching specific holidays. The centre will also include accommodation that will consist of a 2 and 3 bedroom apartments. These apartments will be ready for 2024.
